
Beginning at the age of 18, while pursuing his studies in Philosophy as a seminarian, B. Russel Raj embarked on his literary and artistic journey, publishing short stories, articles, poems, and musical compositions. Over the years, he has authored 33 books, contributed hundreds of articles, and composed more than 350 original songs. His compositions for classical dance are marked by remarkable creativity and artistic depth, leaving a lasting impression on performers and audiences alike.
Rev. Dr. B. Russel Raj was honoured as the Best Lyricist by Kalai Kaviri College of Fine Arts, Trichy, in recognition of his exceptional contributions to music and lyrical composition. His deep commitment to social causes earned him the Star Achiever Award, while his literary works were highly acclaimed by the Knights of Columbus, who presented him with a cash award in 2006 in acknowledgment of his impactful writing.
He launched a YouTube channel under the name “RBR Creations,” offering a digital platform to showcase his creative works. To further his passion for nurturing young talent, he founded the Christ the King Fine Arts Academy, with the goal of inspiring and training youth in music, dance, and public speaking.
